CamCore policy

Hosting Terms of Service.
Know the boundary.

These terms cover every domain name, web hosting plan, email hosting plan and SSL certificate ordered through CamCore Billing: what you get, what it costs, how it renews and who to call.

01

Scope and acceptance

These terms apply to every product ordered through CamCore Billing: domain names, web hosting, email hosting, SSL certificates and any other paid service listed there. Placing an order means agreeing to these terms, the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use.

CamCore (ABN 60 278 921 078) is the business you order from and the business that invoices you. Where a product is provided by a partner, that partner’s terms also apply and are linked from Policies. If these terms and a partner’s terms disagree about the partner’s product, the partner’s terms apply to that product.

These terms are separate from the Terms of Access, which cover approved access to the private CamCore Network. A CamCore Billing account does not give access to the CamCore Network.

02

Your CamCore Billing account

You create your CamCore Billing account at checkout. It is separate from any My CamCore, Microsoft 365 or Plex sign-in.

  • Keep your name, email address, phone number, postal address and, for a business, ABN or ACN accurate. Invoices, renewal notices and domain eligibility notices go to the email address on the account.
  • You are responsible for everything done with the account. Use a unique password, turn on two-factor authentication, and tell CamCore Support promptly if you think the account has been compromised.
  • CamCore never asks for your password, and Support never needs it.
03

Prices, GST and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless a price is clearly marked otherwise. Every invoice is a tax invoice showing CamCore’s ABN.

Payment is by card through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure payment page and are never stored on CamCore systems. A product is provisioned once payment has been received.

Prices may change. A change applies from your next renewal and is shown in CamCore Billing before you are charged. An unpaid invoice is followed by reminders; a service with an invoice still unpaid after the reminders may be suspended, and is restored once the invoice is paid.

04

Renewals, cancellation and refunds

Most products renew yearly or monthly at the price shown in CamCore Billing. With auto-renew on, an invoice is raised ahead of the renewal date and charged to your saved payment method. You can turn auto-renew off, or cancel a product, at any time in CamCore Billing before its renewal date.

  • A cancelled hosting, email or SSL product ends at the end of the period already paid for. There is no pro-rata refund for the unused part of a period, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires one.
  • A domain registration, renewal or transfer cannot be refunded once the registry has processed it.
  • A domain that is not renewed by its expiry date stops working. Restoring it during the registry’s redemption period, where that is still possible, costs more than a renewal.

Keep the contact email on your account current so that renewal notices reach you.

05

Domain names

CamCore sells domain names as a reseller. The registrar of record is Synergy Wholesale Accreditations Pty Ltd (ABN 17 165 245 901), an Australian registrar accredited by auDA and ICANN, which holds the registration agreement. You are the registrant: the domain name licence is yours, not CamCore’s, and you can transfer it to another provider under the registry’s rules.

Australian domains (.au, .com.au, .net.au, .org.au and the other .au namespaces) are licensed under auDA’s .au Licensing Rules. A .au domain name is licensed, not owned. You must have an Australian presence, meet the eligibility and allocation rules for the namespace (for example an ABN, ACN or registered business name for .com.au), keep your registrant details accurate, and stay eligible for the whole licence period. auDA or the registrar can cancel a licence obtained with false information or held by someone no longer eligible. Eligibility complaints and domain disputes are handled under auDA’s published processes, not by CamCore.

Other extensions are registered under the registrar’s registrant agreement for those domains and the policies of ICANN and the relevant registry, which include a 60-day transfer lock after a new registration or transfer.

CamCore Support can help you change DNS records, but you are responsible for what your domain points to.

06

Hosting, email and SSL

Web hosting, email hosting and SSL certificates are provided on Synergy Wholesale’s Australian hosting platform, never on CamCore’s own equipment. CamCore manages your account and supports you.

  • Each plan has the disk, data transfer, mailbox and account limits shown when you order. CamCore may ask you to upgrade or reduce usage when a site exceeds them or affects other customers.
  • You are responsible for your website’s content, its software (such as a content management system, plugins and themes), their updates, its sign-ins and its backups. Keep your own copy of your site and your email: platform backups are a safety net, not your backup.
  • An SSL certificate is issued after the domain validates. CamCore cannot issue a certificate for a domain you do not control.

Website design, builds and ongoing website maintenance are not included under these terms. They are quoted separately as CamCore IT Services.

07

Acceptable use, abuse and suspension

Acceptable Use applies to every hosted service, including its rules for hosted services and customer websites: no unsolicited bulk email, phishing, malware, infringing or unlawful content, or resource abuse.

CamCore may suspend or remove a hosted service immediately, without notice, where it is being used for abuse, has been compromised, is putting other customers or the platform at risk, or a lawful request requires it. Where it is safe to do so, CamCore tells you first and gives you a chance to fix the problem. A repeated or serious breach ends the service without a refund.

Report abuse of a CamCore-hosted service to help@camcore.au with the domain, what you saw and when.

08

Availability and support

Hosted services run on partner infrastructure with its own maintenance windows and incidents. CamCore does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and does not offer a financial service credit. CamCore Status reports the services CamCore operates itself.

Support for orders, renewals, DNS, email setup, certificates and billing is provided through CamCore Support or help@camcore.au, on a reasonable-effort basis during Australian business hours. Never send a password, recovery code or card number in a support request.

09

Liability, changes and law

The Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that these terms do not exclude or limit. To the extent the law allows, CamCore’s liability for a product is limited to supplying it again or refunding the fees you paid for it in the previous twelve months, and CamCore is not liable for loss of data, revenue or business caused by an outage, a lapsed domain name, a compromised website or a partner’s actions.

CamCore may update these terms. The current version, its last-updated date and a summary of changes are published on camcore.au, and a material change is emailed to the address on your account at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using a product after that date, the updated terms apply.

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
