CamCore — Cameron Family Secure Network
Service status

CamCore policy

Acceptable Use.
Know the boundary.

Use CamCore lawfully, respectfully and in a way that protects approved users, private information, shared resources and service reliability.

01

Expected use

Use CamCore only for its intended personal, family, Cameron-Media or approved associated-family purpose. Follow service-specific guidance and avoid activity that creates unnecessary disruption, risk, cost or administrative work.

02

Accounts and private information

  • Use only your own approved account and access level.
  • Do not share invitations, credentials, sessions, private URLs or secure-network access.
  • Do not attempt to view another user’s information or grant access to an unapproved person or device.
  • Keep internal addresses, administrative details and non-public documentation private.
  • Report unexpected sign-ins, approval prompts or suspected credential exposure immediately.
03

Security responsibilities

Keep supported devices updated and protected. Required firewall, endpoint protection, encryption, management, monitoring and authentication controls must remain enabled where configured.

Do not expose an internal service to the public internet, install malicious or knowingly unsafe software, or disable a security control as a routine troubleshooting step. Ask CamCore Support where a legitimate task appears to require an exception.

04

Prohibited activity

The following activity is not permitted:

  • Unauthorised access, and vulnerability scanning, probing, exploitation or privilege escalation outside an approved security test.
  • Credential theft, phishing, malware, deception or deliberate evasion of access controls.
  • Deliberate disruption, destructive changes, excessive automated requests or interference with monitoring and backups.
  • Using CamCore for unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harmful activity.
  • Redistributing private service access, confidential information or content without approval.
  • Circumventing network, account, device, media, geographic or capacity controls.
05

Authorised security testing

Security testing, vulnerability scanning and similar work on CamCore is permitted only under a change approved in advance by CamCore that records:

  • the scope: the systems and the methods to be used;
  • the identity doing the work;
  • the time window;
  • the safeguards that protect people, data and service availability;
  • how the work is closed and its results recorded.

Staff or Administrator access does not by itself authorise testing. Work outside an approved change's scope or time window is prohibited activity under this policy.

06

Content and communication

Support messages, uploads, comments and service requests must be lawful, respectful and relevant. Do not submit unnecessary personal information, confidential material belonging to another person, or content that creates a security or safety risk.

07

Fair use of shared resources

Use shared storage, bandwidth, media, processing and support resources reasonably. Repeated avoidable transcoding, excessive downloads, unattended streams or automation that degrades a service may be limited. Normal personal use is welcome; activity that materially affects others or the platform is not.

08

Reporting and policy response

Report suspected misuse, compromise or unsafe behaviour through CamCore Support. Do not investigate another user or attempt to fix a security event without approval.

CamCore may investigate activity and restrict, suspend or remove access when it creates risk, affects other users or breaches this policy. Immediate containment may occur during a security incident.
