Before you ask

Common questions.

Why does my printer keep going offline?

Usually because its network address changes or it drops off the Wi-Fi to save power. Both can be fixed so it stays connected.

Can you set up devices I have already bought?

Yes. Most consumer printers, TVs and smart-home devices can be set up, as long as they are still supported by their maker.

Are smart devices a security risk?

Some can be. Keeping them updated and on a separate network from your computers reduces the risk.
