Every domain has contact details held by the registry. They say who holds the domain, and where renewal notices, transfer approvals and eligibility checks are sent. If the email address is out of date, you can miss a notice and lose the domain.
You update them on the Contacts tab of your domain's page in My CamCore. The Overview tab shows who the domain is registered to.
The contacts
| Contact | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Registrant (owner) | The person or organisation that holds the domain. |
| Technical | Who to contact about the domain's DNS or servers. |
| Administrative and Billing | Shown for some domain types; .au domains don't use them. |
Update a contact
- Open the domain's page in My CamCore, then Contacts.
- Change the details in the contact's form. Use the full street address, the state, a four-digit postcode for Australia, and a phone number with its area code.
- Choose Save for that contact.
The change is sent to the registry straight away.
.au domains
For a .au domain, the registrant's name and organisation can't be changed in My CamCore; they show as read-only. The registry treats a new holder as a change of registrant, which needs both the current and new holder's agreement and proof the new holder is eligible. Contact CamCore Support to start one.
You can still change the registrant's address, phone and email here.
A .au domain must also keep meeting its eligibility rules, such as the ABN, ACN or business name it was registered with. If that changes, contact CamCore Support.
Privacy
Registries publish some contact details in their public lookup (often called WHOIS). For a .au domain it shows the registrant's name and eligibility details, but not their address, phone number or email.
