Forwarding works only while CamCore keeps the domain's DNS. If another provider keeps it, the Forwarding tab says so. See Nameservers and CamCore DNS.
Forward a web address
Use this to send your domain, or a name under it such as go.yourdomain.com.au, to another website.
- Under Web addresses, enter the address in From. Leave it blank for the domain itself.
- Enter the full destination in To, starting with https://.
- Choose the Kind:
- Permanent (301): the usual choice. Browsers and search engines remember the new address.
- Temporary (302): for a short-term change, such as a campaign page.
- Masked: the visitor sees the destination's page, but your address stays in the address bar. Some sites refuse to be shown this way.
- Choose Add forward.
CamCore points the address at its forwarding service for you. It usually starts working within a few minutes, and can take up to a few hours.
To change a forward, choose Edit, change it and choose Save forward. Remove stops it and removes the record CamCore added for it.
Forward an email address
Use this to have mail sent to an address at your domain, such as hello@ or sales@, arrive in a mailbox you already have elsewhere.
- Under Email addresses, enter the part before the @ in Address.
- Enter the mailbox it should arrive in, in Arrives at.
- Choose Add forward.
Only use email forwarding if the domain has no mailbox of its own. Forwarding changes the domain's mail records, so mail stops reaching any CamCore email, Microsoft 365 or other mailbox service on the same domain. If you already have mailboxes, create the extra address as an alias in that service instead.
Forwarded mail can occasionally be marked as spam by the receiving mailbox. Check the spam folder when you first set it up.
